Calculators that answer the questions Pensacola households actually ask before and after a storm. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Hurricane deductible calculator
How it works
A Florida hurricane deductible is usually a percentage of the dwelling limit, not of the damage. A 2% deductible on a $300,000 home means you pay the first $6,000 of hurricane damage. It applies once per calendar year across all hurricanes.
If your estimated damage is close to the deductible, get a contractor's written estimate before deciding whether to file — hidden damage (decking, attic insulation, drywall, mold) often pushes the real cost well above a first impression.

Generator runtime calculator
Carbon monoxide kills after hurricanes
Carbon monoxide poisoning from portable generators is one of the leading causes of death after hurricanes. Run generators outdoors only, at least 20 feet from doors, windows and vents — never in a garage, even with the door open.
Storm damage documentation tool
Record damage room by room as you photograph it. Entries are saved only in this browser on this device. Print the log or export it to a spreadsheet for your insurer, FEMA or contractor.
Documentation tips
- Shoot wide first, then close-up; include something for scale.
- Photograph serial numbers and model labels on damaged appliances and electronics.
- Keep damaged materials (a carpet sample, a shingle) until the adjuster has seen them.
- Write down the date and time you first noticed each leak.
